【Joint Project】Our collaborative project "PUNKeshi" with Adam Jaromir-san, a Poland-born, Hannover-based publisher, translator, picture book author, and Kokeshi enthusiast, will begin on July 1, 2025. I am extremely honored to be working with Adam-san, a well-known author who has received the Gustav Heinemann Peace Prize and has been nominated twice for the German Youth Literature Prize😊🙏ドイツ在住の出版者、翻訳家、絵本作家、そしてコケシ愛好家であるAdam Jaromir(アダム・ヤロミール)さんとの共同プロジェクト『PUNKeshi』(パンケシ)が2025年7月1日スタート。グスタフ・ハイネマン平和賞受賞、ドイツ青少年文学賞に2度ノミネートされるなど、著名なアダムさんと一緒に仕事ができること、大変光栄です😊🙏

On July 1, 2025, the German-based "PUNKeshi" cross-border Shopify e-commerce site will open, allowing people from all over the world, to purchase products. We will be selling punk kokeshi designed by Adam-san, my original kokeshi, and traditional Togatta kokeshi.

With PUNKESHI, Adam Jaromir is fulfilling a long-cherished dream of contributing to the popularisation of kokeshi craftsmanship in Europe. As a collector, he has been fascinated for years by the diversity, expressiveness, and cultural depth of these traditional Japanese wooden dolls. In collaboration with the Japanese artist Noboru Wagatsuma, he succeeded in realising his first own design with NINA. Further designs are in preparation.
Adam Jaromir is a publisher, translator and author of picture books who was born in Poland and lives in Hannover. He has been honoured with the Gustav Heinemann Peace Prize and has been nominated twice for the German Youth Literature Prize. His books have been published in Germany, Poland, France and South Korea.
